The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, August 4 suggests Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will finally come clean with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
Also coming up, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will tell Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) she’s staying on as CEO. Plus, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) tries to pull at Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) heart strings. And Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will meet up with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).
Y&R spoilers tease Ashley will not be happy when she answers the door and sees Diane standing there. She’ll tell Jack she’ll be back real soon. Diane will bring over some age appropriate books for Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) about grief. She’ll ask Jack if he feels like she doesn’t have the right to be there for their grandson. But he’ll say that right now, Harrison needs everyone in the family. “Unlike Ashland, I’ve been given a second chance and I don’t take one minute of it for granted,” Diane will tell Jack. “I hope you can believe it.”
Y&R Daily Scoop – Sally’s Loyalty Is To Newman Media
At The Grand Phoenix, Phyllis and Nikki will tell Ashley they’re going to create a situation where Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will be done with Diane. Phyllis plans to work at Marchetti to bring her down. “So what do you think?” Phyllis will ask. “I think it’s a horrible idea,” Ashley will reply. She’ll say she’s worried it could ruin Jabot and Marchetti’s reputation. But Phyllis will eventually bring Ashley around.
Meanwhile, Sally will tell Nick part of her wants to publish the story on Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) last night, but it might be a little premature. She’s going to hold off until she has all the relevant information. Nick will thank her and say it means a lot. Sally will end up at Society and run into Adam. She’ll say she doesn’t want things to be weird between them. “I realized you were right, we’re better off apart.” Plus, she has a lot to do, as CEO of Newman Media. Adam will smile. “Then you didn’t resign,” he’ll say.
Sally will tell him no man is worth throwing away her career over “not even you.” They’ll discuss Ashland’s death and she’ll point out Adam considered teaming up with him. But he’ll say he warned Victor and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) that things were going to spiral. Then Sally will hint she knows more about what really happened to Ashland, but she’s not going to share it with him. “My loyalty has to be to Newman Media now,” she’ll say.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Chance Hopes They’ll Get Answers
Finally, Nick will head to Newman Enterprises and press his father for answers. “I can’t shake the feeling that I don’t know what went down last night.” Nick will say there’s too many things about that night that make no sense. “Stop looking for a fight!” Victor will shout. Nick will implore his father to tell him the truth. “Son, Ashland Locke was found dead on your sister’s living room floor,” Victor will admit. “My men took care of things.” He’ll say his guys removed the body, put it into the car and staged an accident.
Victor will tell his son not to feel bad about it. The cops will move on and so should he. But what Victor doesn’t realize is the cops are doing anything but. Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) will rush to Crimson Lights and tell Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) they just got a tip. Someone spotted Ashland’s car at a gas station. Chance will say they need the security footage. “Maybe now we can get the answers that we need.”
